The scale of overall global filter market is about USD 70 billion, of which, the scale of air filter market is about USD 10.3 billion. Most of the air filters are used in large-scale industrial applications, including the applications in air-conditions and air filters in hospitals. The second largest application filed is in commercial and scientific research aspect.

In the current air filter market, the products that take fine glass fiber as the filter medium still occupy the dominant position; but the membrane manufacturers also develop towards the air filtration field, they can provide efficient membrane filters and also improve the filtering performance under the low airflow resistance. In the fields of high efficiency air filter and dust collection application, membrane filters will replace the fine glass fiber filters soon.
